چکیده

Abstract Background This study aimed to compare the duration of postoperative analgesia using intraperitoneal bupivacaine plus neostigmine or alone. In this randomized controlled trial, we included 56 adult patients scheduled for elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy operation. Patients were randomly allocated into two groups group (B group) who received 50 ml 0.25% alone and bupivacaine-neostigmine (BN 500 μg added 0.25%. The drug was instilled according allocation before start surgery. Primary outcome analgesia. Other total dose analgesic consumption nausea vomiting. Results in BN showed longer after surgery time 1st than B group. Total pethidine incidence vomiting lower number Conclusions Intraperitoneal instillation as an adjunct increased Also, it might reduce pain requirements compared Trial registration Name registry: Clinical trial number: NCT04244097 Date registration: 28 January 2020 URL registry record: https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04244097
